Established in 1993 - The General Mat Company Pty Ltd is a wholly owned Australian company that imports and distributes a wide range of matting on an exclusive basis from the USA, Sri Lanka, China and Finland.
Our product offering has steadily grown to include over 80 matting products in a myriad of colours, styles and sizes.
OUR PRIMARY LINE OF BUSINESS
Is the importation and distribution of: Entrance, Scraper, Logo, Safety, Anti-Fatigue, Safety and Slip Resistant matting, suitable for most industrial and commercial applications.

Since commencing business in 1993, we have held the Exclusive Import and Distribution rights from two of the largest Mat Manufacturers in the world namely:
Andersen Company Inc.

Established in 1950, now known as Wearwell offers a wide range of high quality ergonomically designed mats that increase the comfort and productivity of the standing worker. See www.wearwell.com
We also import exclusively from Muovihaka Oy - Finland as well as sourcing local manufactured matting where possible.
OUR AFFILIATIONS AND MEMBERSHIP
Product innovation and the Green Initiative by our major suppliers puts The General Mat Company in the forefront of the Green Revolution here in Australia. We are members of the Green Building Council of Australia. A selection of our range has been endorsed by HACCP and we have CSIRO slip resistant testing of a number of our mats.
